Colin M. As a big fan of Spacegoat (and the song from which Black Glow is named) I was delighted to see more tunes from Gina and I am not disappointed at all. Her vocals mesh wonderfully with the doomgaze-y instrumentation. Killer! Favorite track: Obscured Jail.

lloydd What makes this release so special is the contradiction between the vocals and the music. The female vocals are soft and angelic while the music has a doom edge to it. Excellent this being the bands initial release Favorite track: Epsilon.

Gone 06:06
And so, life goes on, Burning distress, Turning the truth back to you, We are replaceable souls. Ahh... We'll be gone... And so, life goes on, Burning distress, Fuel for still life, Replaceable souls.

Epsilon 05:22
I'm always hypnotized by the lights, I have always loved how they look so high, That shine attracts me like a fly, I'm another epsilon in the line. I love the golden hours of the sky, but I love it more when I sleep enough, I know this floor better than my own, I'm just another epsilon in the line. No matter how tired I am, I'm a good payer and a great prayer. I'm an epsilon in the line. Is life much more, or is life now? I forgot how the daylight looks, but I have a good imagination, I'm an epsilon in the line, Should I be proud? Is this life now? No matter how tired I am, I'm a good payer and a great prayer. I'm an epsilon in the line. Is life much more, or is life now?

More mg 06:49
Unready to unfold, my heart wonders, so numb and so cold, my vision is so blurred, gray is my sight, and you know it.. I am a cold-eyed witness of time Unready to proceed, my mind is stuck, every single minute feels like an eternity Tied to a tarnished glass, so tight that I cannot escape, I'm descending into a deeper dimension I am a cold-eyed witness of time

Next to You 05:50
I woke up this black morning And I am longing to fly in thin air again It's impossible to know when this will end You will never know When I'm sitting next to you I'm feeling so light again And I could feel the same black glow in my eyes It's impossible to know when this will end you will never know When I'm sitting next to you Turning all sound into warm breeze Reaching all that you can touch, and you will blend into all Gliding to the cold, white and wet moon Reaching all that you can touch, And this will never go I'm feeling so light again And I could feel the same black glow in my eyes It's impossible to know when this will end you will never know When I'm sitting next to you Turning all sound into warm breeze Reaching all that you can touch, and you will blend into all Gliding to the cold, white and wet moon Reaching all that you can touch, And this will never go.

The time has gone, and you've remained where the wind had blown you The collective trance had drawn you into a maze that wasn't your path Oh no don't let them take you, because you will never belong and the colors that once you were will never survive that box Obscured Jail... Precious senses, rubies of your time, they have been all lost. The collective trance had dragged you into a maze that wasn't your path. When the cosmic solitude draws near, and your senses become numb, and the colors that once were you have faded away Obscured Jail...

about

The creative force behind Black Glow, was formerly known as the enigmatic vocalist and guitarist of Spacegoat (stoner/psychedelic rock) Gina Rios, she has embarked on a remarkable journey with her new project; with Octavio Diliegros in drums and Oscar Saucedo in the bass hailing from the northern city of Monterrey, Mexico. Her vision and sound evolved into a cosmic melody of doom grooves and atmospheric textures craft a hauntingly beautiful soundscape that invites listeners to explore the depths of their inner cosmos.

The band's debut EP "Black Glow" is not just an album; it's a sanctuary for the soul. It accompanies you in your darkest moments, providing a space for introspection and understanding, you'll find solace in the depths of their music, a profound connection to the human experience, and a reminder that even in our most intimate moments of solitude, we are not alone.
